| Summary | 0002921: Consistant progress display of guide/finder camera exposure time | ||||
| Description | When looping through exposures from the finder and guider camera, the progress indicator of the camera is not displayed at a consistent location and, depending on the chosen tab, not displayed at all. When for instance doing an AutoFocus the exposure progress is not shown at all. In the tabs where it is shown it is shown at different locations. It would be appreciated if an exposure progress bar could be added next to the exposure progress bar of the main camera. Being able to see this progress is especially useful when working with long exposures (e.g. 30s). | ||||

I move the guider exposure progress text so it is visible in all the internal guider tabs. I also add an exposure progress bar at the top of the image for the guider and finder camera. This is visible in all the case, also with the multi-image display when the guider tab is not selected. Another change is to show the guide camera image when the autofocus tab is selected and it is set to autofocus with the guide camera. This is available in version 0.9.94-4088 : https://vega.ap-i.net/pub/ccdciel/daily_build/ See also Han issue 0002919 about the ghost reflections. |

Thanks Patrick, will test it as soon as weather allows. |

The progress bar in the image is nice, but could do with a few improvements: because it is small and against a dark sky background it is not easy to see the progress due to lack of contrast between the green and grey background of the bar. Would it be possible to make the bar longer, perhaps as long as the text below it in dual view? Otherwise perhaps it is possible to make the bar's background grey somewhat darker so that the green stands out more. When the user or a script cancels a finder or guider image during capture, the bar remains visible by which it seems it still is capturing, although the green bar does not grow. Normally the bar would disappear when imaging is stopped. |

Thank you, I change it with your suggestion and fix the bar visibility when it is stopped. This is also in version 0.9.94-4093 : https://vega.ap-i.net/pub/ccdciel/daily_build/ |
